Sándor Wekerle was the first hungarian prime minister, who came from a civilian family. He was born on 14th of November 1848 in Mór. His father was an office-holder of the Lamberg family. Sándor finished the elementary school in Mór, and did his school-leaving exam in Székesfehérvár. He graduated in law in Budapest, from 1870 (eighteen-seventy), he had been working in the ministry of finance. At first, he was just draftsman assistant, from 1887 Wekerle was already a secretary of state. He had been working in all part of the ministry of finance, he was known as an experienced and a very learned officer.

Two years later, he started his first term as minister of finance. During his term, he took Hungary out of the deepening economic crisis, he carried out reforms and created a long-term stability with them. In 1892 the king asked him for form a government, so Wekerle became prime minister. He was minister of finance five times and prime minister three times. Wekerle was a recognized authority on finance and one of the most famous politicians in the period of the Dual Monarchy. He was the president of several councils. As the president of the communal work council, Wekerle started to build an estate house for workers and officers. The civil marriage and the public registration are also linked with the name of Sándor Wekerle.

He liked farming as a hobby, he bought a land in Pusztaszentdános and made it prosper. he died In 1921.
